J.S. Logistics: 25 new MAN tractor units added to the fleet

The continuous modernisation and maintenance of the vehicle fleet is a central component of J.S. Logistics’ corporate philosophy. Today we are pleased to announce the latest addition to our fleet: the purchase of 25 new MAN TGX 18.480 tractor units of the latest generation.

We are not only investing in modern technology, but also in the further training of our drivers. The new MAN tractor units are not only equipped with comfort features for our drivers, but also with numerous new systems for greater safety on the road.

The outstanding features of the new MAN tractor units include

  • The MAN navigation system Professional, supplemented by an infotainment system with touchscreen, offers an online navigation map for the whole of Europe. The system displays traffic information in real time and ensures that our drivers can always choose the optimum route.
  • LED headlights increase visibility and safety in all weather conditions. Reversing, daytime running, fog and cornering lights utilise this efficient technology.
  • The cab has an efficient heating and cooling system, a stationary air conditioning system, a luxurious driver’s seat and a swivelling Vario co-driver’s seat for maximum comfort even on long journeys.
  • Special attention has been paid to the driver’s rest. A bed with a 110 cm wide slatted frame mattress and adjustable headboard ensures restful sleep and a feeling of being at home.
  • Other amenities include a 22-inch television and an integrated 230-volt socket in the cab, which allows personal devices to be operated without additional adapters.

To get an insight into the practical experience with the new vehicles, we asked Gábor Markó, an experienced driver from our team, about his impressions. Gábor, who has previously driven both Scania and older MAN models, particularly appreciates the user-friendly navigation, the LED headlights for safe driving at any time of day and the high-quality multimedia system. He also emphasises the comfort of the swivelling passenger seat, which makes it easier for him to read during breaks, and the efficient fuel consumption of the new tractor unit. Gábor criticises the design of the steering, which he believes could be smoother in future models.

This new acquisition is further proof of our endeavour to invest in the latest technology to improve the efficiency, safety and comfort of our drivers.

Here are some impressions of the new tractors.
